Tercel pressures?

Kolbergk on Tue April 19, 2011 8:06 PM User is offline

Year: 1996
Make: Toyota
Model: Tercel
Engine Size: 1.5
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Ambient Temp: 85
Pressure Low: 44
Pressure High: 180

My daughter complained of the AC not cooling. These are the pressures I got while it was 85 out. The vent temp was 56 with doors open.
I took the car for a drive afterwards and the vent temp dropped to 44 degrees (windows shut, max fan, recirculating, cloudy out) I think she's just
being a girl. Do those pressures look right? Thanks!

OK, thanks for the data. Of course it brings up other questions. Are those pressures based on idle speed or something higher? Thanks again. Ken
