Year: 1989
Make: BMW
Model: 635CSI
Engine Size: I6
Refrigerant Type: R-12
Ambient Temp: 95
Pressure Low: 10
Country of Origin: United States

Just bought an 89 BMW 635CSI AC was not cooling so i put 2 12oz cans of R12 in the system. Low side suction started at -30 The rear vents now blow cold 38F, but the fronts are blowing ambient air temp Could not find the high side port...Does anyone know where it is on this car? Also what would cause the rear to work, but not the front. Previous owner may have put freeze 12 in it are these refrigerants compatible with R-12?

Overcharged? Undercharged? Mixed refrigerants?

The only way to answer these questions is to evacuate and recharge to factory spec. (by weight). There is no way to perform any reasonable system diagnostics until one of the most basic requirements (i.e. charge) has been verified.
