What to do 1st?

pkucan on Thu August 19, 2010 12:06 PM User is offline

Year: 2002
Make: Dodge
Model: Durango
Engine Size: 4.7L
Refrigerant Type: R134
Country of Origin: United States

I just picked it up, super price! It had a front end accident and the condensor was removed and never replaced.
I know it needs a new dryer since the system was left open.
Is there a particular order of replacement or does it matter?
Vacuum before replacing with the new dryer and then again?
Any other procedures?
Thanks

With a system open like that I would highly suggest a full system flush. Oil is going to be bad so that needs to be removed. Drier and fresh oil along with a condenser is your starting point.

Thanks, I didn't know about the oil!
