any special tool needed to change orifice tube?

93 s10 Blazer 4x4, 4.3L (w).

I think I now know where the orifice tube is located. How is it removed/replaced?

No special tool needed open up the line and use a pair of needle nose pliers to grab it and pull it out,then just slip the new one in and close up the line.
