Oldsmobile Clutch question

4.0_olds on Wed June 16, 2010 8:42 PM User is offline

Year: 1995
Make: Oldsmobile
Model: Aurora
Engine Size: 4.0
Refrigerant Type: 134a

The clutch friction plate somehow got disconnected from the front driving hub. I haven't removed it yet but I'm assuming there may be rivets holding the unit together. GM HD6 compressor.

Question is, where can I find clutch parts or even a whole new clutch assembly. I sure would hate to buy a whole compressor just to get the clutch/hub assembly. I have searched the net high and low.

Thanks for any help.

They are sold separately-- also a boneyard comes to mind

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......

Thanks GM Tech. Where are they sold? I haven't been able to find a source for clutch parts for the HD6 compressor.
