V7 front seal

bunnthebody on Wed April 14, 2010 12:15 AM User is offline

Year: 1998
Make: chevy
Model: s10
Engine Size: 2.2
Refrigerant Type: r134a

I am replacing the front seal on my s10's V7 compressor. The new seal has a black o-ring around the outside of the metal portion of the seal. There is an extra green o-ring in the repair kit. Where does it go. The old seal only has the black one. The new seal is not just like the old one that only has the black o-ring. I am new to this, any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what you have as the V7 shaft seal we offer is a double lip seal and a retaining clip.

This is exactly what I have, only I have a green o-ring in addition to the seal and clip. I thought that this o-ring might replace the black one on the seal for some reason. Thanks roger
