Does this connector come apart?

Mozzer on Fri March 26, 2010 3:11 PM User is offline

Year: 2002
Make: Vauxhall (GM) Vectra
Model: DTI
Engine Size: 2000
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Country of Origin: United Kingdom

I have loss of refrigerant, on connecting gauges and taking off the caps, this high side cap immediately hissed and leaked continuously.
Correctly evacuated/recovered the system. This is the high side and it does not have a removable valve core. My question is does this come apart as it doesn't want to separate?
Can you replace the inner bits?
Thanks!

It does come apart. It just threads out of the line. Here is the service valve itself.35-50021

Thanks for the prompt reply - much appreciated.
I thought it should move but it won't. Sockets or spanners just round off the alloy - so here goes locking pliers..........

They make a high side socket for removing those.
