Year: 87
Make: vw
Model: gti

I need to replace the foam seals that are placed on the flapper doors in my a/c - heater box. Any ideas where to buy this stuff?? Looks like I need to find some 1/8"+/- sheets.

Can you post a picture of what you are trying to repair? We have high density foam that is 1/8th think by 4 inches wide sticky on one side.

For me it's kind of hard to tell what you want in those images.

Ok

Top photo shows a silver flapper door that has foam on the back of the door that is falling off, air is able to pass through the circular holes in the flapper door and vent to the wrong area.

Bottom photo show the fresh air/recirculating air flapper door through the blower motor opening. The foam is starting to fail and need to be replaced.

We have the high density foam tape 1/8in X 4in. We sell it by the foot. Its our part number AMA07. Let me know if that's what you were looking for, thank you.

That may work if you think I can use it to replace this foam seal here.

It should work, i don't know how wide the surface is, but you'll just need to cut-it-to-fit.

I will order that foam along with some other parts.
