Used Leak Detector?

Model: ACT 5600/6550

Has anyone here any experience using either of these Snap-On leak detectors? I know the ACT 6550 is at least 10 years old and despite the Snap-On name I can't find anything about it on their web site or elsewhere on the web. There is also a used ACT 5600. Were these any good in their day? Are they any good compared to a decent modern detector?

If I’m mistaken these where made by “Tiff” and if so, they are not the best in my opinion. Always gave fault reading when leak checking. I always liked the GE or now Bacharach H-10G model. Still use it and always worked better than any other ones I have used.

The H10 and Inficon's Tek-Mate are two of the best ones out there.

Thanks guys. There did seem to be some resemblance between the Snap-On and Tif models. I have seen other negative comments about Tifs. I'll keep an eye out for the H10 and Tek-Mate.
