Evaporator Leak

Year: 1991
Make: Lincoln
Model: Mark VII
Engine Size: 305
Refrigerant Type: R12
Country of Origin: United States

My evaporator has a very small leak. I know that it is not a good idea to install sealer in an A/C system but I'm wonder if perhaps there is something out there that works without screwing things up. Replacing the evaporator is about a 12-15 hour ordeal as the dash has to be removed.

There is no easy way out. Magic in cans don't work.

Adding sealers could lead to a complete system replacement.. I would rather live with system top offs each year.. Just my opinion...
