mad_trbo on Fri September 18, 2009 6:15 PM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 1987
Make: buick
Model: grand national
Engine Size: 3.8
Refrigerant Type: 134a

What would be an affordable recovery unit for the enthusiast. In other words someone who is simply maintaining their own cars at home and may be willing to help out a neighbor or two?

with the smaller model like the 69100 is it safe to assume it does not collect oil seperately?

I would love to be able to pull everything from a system and take it to the what the stock requirements are.

Recovery systems will not remove the oil from an auto a/c system. You will get some residual oil removed but it will not remove much in a general sense.

After the refrigerant is removed a good flush of the system is needed to get all the oil and contaminates out of the system. Check the home page for flush procedures written by Hecat for a better understanding of proper flush procedures...... Hope this helps..
