Nylog and other questions

JW on Thu August 13, 2009 6:33 PM User is offline

Year: 1995
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Lumina
Engine Size: 3.1L
Refrigerant Type: R134A
Ambient Temp: 90
Country of Origin: United States

For those of you that use Nylog - should it be used on the flat sealing washers in addition to the o-rings?

Also, a compressor/accumulator/orifice tube replacement will be done. Should all o-rings be replaced while the system is open, or just the ones that are disturbed?

Thanks for your help.

My thoughts are if they don't leak, leave them alone. You don't want to butcher any fittings due to corrosion.

Not on sealing washers, except the rubber part in the center won't hurt, only replace the O rings you disturb as long as the fitting don't appear to be leaking....Just my opinion..
