pressure

Year: 2000
Make: Dodge
Model: Ram
Engine Size: 5.9
Refrigerant Type: 34
Country of Origin: Mexico

How does the a/c system have and hold pressure and not have a trace of 34? Looks like if the 34 leaked out and after the truck setting for a week there would be no pressure at all?

Only if it vented it all out fast, otherwise slow leaks can take days or weeks to affect cooling, longer too if zero pressure is your problem. Depends on the size of the leak.. . If your truck sat for a week and lost all of it's R134a, then you have a good sized leak..

My truck stopped cooling late summer 08, 34 gone, the truck has been setting now for a week, engine has not run. If all the 34 was gone last summer why is there still pressure in the system?
