DO I REALLY
NEED TO PULL OUT THE DASH TO REPLACE THE EVAPORATOR OR REPAIR A LEAK. THE REASON FOR THIS QUESTION IS BECAUSE I WAS REPAIRING MY A/C. AFTER CHECKING THE SYSTEM FOR LEAKS I FOUND ONE UNDER THE DASH WHERE THE EVAPORATOR IS. IF I HAVE TO WHAT IS THE TRICK TO REMOVING THE DASH? ANY HELP PLEASE.

Yes, you get to remove everything between the firewall & the seat.

You really, really need a Mitchell or AllData sunscription for that vehicle.

The instructions for an evap replacemnt are pages long, with things like "remove the plastic clip" (they usually break, rather than release) "support the instrument panel with temporary hook" (what hook? From where?) and my favorite "With the help of an assistant..." - yeah right I keep him in the bottom drawer of my toolbox.

Mitchell or AllData will have the step-by-step, and the drawings or pictures.

Do yourself a favor, and replace the heater core when you have it out.

Mitchell does not offer an individual vehicle program like ALLData. Here is a link to AllData. Forum gets like a $1.50 if you use that affiliate link.

Actually Mitchell does in fact offer single vehicle applications:
