several weeks ago my a/c quit blowing cold air, most of the time. I put the guages on it and noticed 75/210 regardless of RPM, more or less. When I rev it, the low side will creep up 3 - 4 psig. I went through the diagnostic proc outlined in the service manual and everything checks out. It complained about the sun load sensor but I was inside my garage, which the manual said would happen. The strange thing is that sometimes it works fine. The vent temp nearest the evap is just a few degrees higher than what the books says it should be. Other times it blows air that's the same as the outside temp. Shouldn't reving to around 1500 rpm make the low get lower, and hi higher?
With those pressures, I suspect it's the compressor, but am not certain, and don't know where to go from here. Could it be a faulty expansion valve? If so, how would I test that?
Thanks in advance.
