Replacing Condenser should I replace the dryer as well??

chmura on Mon June 29, 2009 2:13 PM User is offline

Year: 2001
Make: Toyota
Model: Corolla
Engine Size: 1.8
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Country of Origin: United States

As the title states, I am replacing my AC condenser due to a leak from metal to metal contact and I am wondering if I should replace the dryer as well?

My car is an 2001 Corolla with 60k miles on it.

How much do dryers run?

Yes it should be replaced

Looks like $16.03 plus shipping.

If you have a leak should the dryer be always replaced?

What if you are trouble shooting a leak? Obviously you wont be replacing the dryer everyone you "think" you solved the link.

I think that TXAB has answered your question... Would you like a different answer?

When you have repaired a leak you should replace the drier....

Thanks for the reply.

I will get the drier at the dealer, just $40. Don't want to wait for shipping.

That's again. Great site!
