Year: 2003
Make: ford
Model: Exploder
Engine Size: 4.6L
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Country of Origin: United States

I did a major on this truck October of 08. New compressor, dryer, tube, oil etc.

Came back yesterday with no cold air.

Found this hole in the compressor. No metal in the tube. Odd.

Prolly have to copy/ paste link?

How much lube did you recover from the compressor?

It was pretty much empty...........The Pag oil was dripping from every low spot on the frame though. I looked like a wet rat after working on it.

When I did the job back in October it got a new condensor, flushed the lines and evap, new dryer, tube and the new compressor.

It calls for 13oz of Pag46 and 3.5 lbs R134a per the sticker on the radiator cover ,it has a rear unit also.
