Condenser fan motor won't run

Wavecrazed on Tue June 16, 2009 10:15 PM User is offline

Year: 2004
Make: Dodge
Model: Ram 1500
Engine Size: 4.7
Refrigerant Type: R 134-A
Ambient Temp: 90 F
Pressure Low: 120 psi
Pressure High: 350 psi
Country of Origin: United States

Compressor comes on but not the condenser fan. Pulled the relay and jumped it out. Still no 12 volts at the fan plug. Is there a fan cycling switch ? Must be. Anyone know where it's located or what it looks like ? Or what else may be keeping the fan off ? Thanks !!!

Did you find the fuse yet? Do you have 12 volts to the relay? If the fan motor has seized, the fuse will blow.

Often on a late-model vehicle, the computer reads a high side pressure sensor and controls the fan relay.
