Hi,

I'm redoing my AC system in a 69 Firebird. The diverter door for recirc/fresh air has a flat foam sort of material sandwiched between two metal plates with about 3/8" of the material sticking out beyond the metal to form a flexible outer ring of seal around the edge. The old material has taken a set and I'd like to replace it with new but have not had any luck finding any similar material to use. It's softer then rubber and looks like a very dense compressed foam. Does anyone know what this stuff is and where to get it. It's 0.90 (more or less) inches thick.
