Guys checking this car for a leak i know it has, adding a can along with 1oz of dye to help me out i don't need to pull a vacuum for this do i? or should i??

If it still has refrigerant left, you can merely top it up with refrigerant and add UV dye at the same time, without pulling a vacuum. The system must be completely charged and running in order for the dye to be able to move around and find the leak.
You can buy 12 oz cans of R-134a that also contain about 1/4 oz of UV dye (but no other additives). Use only one such can per system, or if you're injecting dye directly use 1/4 oz. Don't use more than that.

Leaked down to zero you really should pull vacuum first before charging and operating. But you might try putting a few oz of R-134a in with the engine off to see if it just hisses out somewhere through a big leak.
It's a decent leak,i pull vac and it don't take long to leak back down on the gauge..
