General question

dabunk on Wed April 29, 2009 4:17 PM User is offline

I have been living out of the US in Belize, Central America for the last 7 years. I drove our Safari van back last month and the AC clutch starting making some noise with AC off, not bearing noise, plates touching slightly. While looking here on the site, I do not see the clutch itself as available. Checked with my local jobber and they do not offer them as well. What is the thinking on this? I have replaced many bad clutches in the past with no bad results?

If the bearing is NOT bad, you just need to back off the adjustment, there is a clutch removal/installer tool used for this.. Any reputable automotive AC jpbber should have one. If you're still in the USA places like Autozone loan them..Hope this helps..

If you're living in the USA, e-mail ACKITS.COM and ask how much the GM clutch tools cost..
