Steel and aluminum

Gerald K4NHN on Mon April 06, 2009 6:35 PM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 1983
Make: Isuzu
Model: PuP
Engine Size: 2.2
Refrigerant Type: R-12
Country of Origin: United States

I'm replacing the normal items when you do a compressor replacement on the PuP and it has some flare fittings that uses steel on one side and the other is aluminum. Is it best to use something like "Never- Seez" to keep the joints so I can take them apart later.

Nylog, perhaps?

Nylog, you don't want to use anything that may contaminate the system. Nylog will allow you to open the system at any time.. hope this helps..

OK guys, now I have to find that small bottle I have somewhere around here. I hate to have to order some more. That'll make 3 that I would have somewhere here.
