Year: 1993
Make: Ford
Model: Probe
Engine Size: 2.5 L
Refrigerant Type: R12
Ambient Temp: 65
Pressure Low: ?
Pressure High: ?

Where can I get the proper pressures vs temp chart?
Thanks,
Jim
Are you filling it with R12 again? if so, charge into a good vacuum, by weight.. Then check your pressures. High side should be about 2.2 times ambient temp, but all cars are different, so once it's charged post your pressures along with ambient temp here..Hope this helps..

Yes using R12. I don't have a scale for weighing my big tank. I have all new orings, o tube, rebuilt compressor, new rubber hoses, new dryer, and used the recommended extra amount of oil. I'm evacuating as I write this but was hoping for a good pressure to look for to know it's full. It's 70 degrees here so I guess I'll go to 154 psi on high side based on your rule of thumb. IU'm using ackit recommended evac and fill procedure in FAQ. Thanks for that as well.
Thanks,
Jim
I really don't like guessing at the weight, and pressures are really to check after the full charge is in.. But when you reach the high side pressure you listed, let the system run a bit, then check the inlet to the evap, and the outlet. Should be the same temp, with the outlet a "little" colder. If you achive that, you're most likely fully charged.. If the outlet is slightly warmer, add an ounce at a time until you achieve the same temp.. Hope this helps..
For future reference check out Mastercool accu=charge scale it takes all the guess work out of recharging the system..

93 Ford Probe used 27 ounces of R12 refrigerant. That's what I would use and if pressures are off I would look into why that was the case.
