Advice on O-Tube?

Hi, guys:

I'm going to open the system up this weekend to fix a leaky connection. (There's a drip at the spring-lock fitting where the high-pressure line enters the condenser.) On Chick's advice, I'm also going to examine the O-tube.

The NAPA guy said I have a red tube, but Chick thinks it's blue. If I find a red one in there, should I replace it with the red one?

FYI, this system was converted by someone else years ago. It has the more advanced stock condenser of the two supplied for this vehicle.

As far as I can find, your explorer uses the Blue O tube and I would leave it at that.. Hope this helps.

Let us know what you find in there though...

Here is NAPA's guide I would start at 28 ounces and work up if needed.. The hotter the day you do it the better though... Try for good cooling between 2.2 and 2.4 times ambient temp on the high side.. Same temp in and out of the evap, do it slowly outlet may be just slightly cooler, and you're fully charged.. Hope this helps.
