Receiver/dryer installation

Year: 1976
Make: Ford
Model: F350
Engine Size: 460
Refrigerant Type: R-134A
Country of Origin: United States

I'm in the final stages of installing one of Arizona Air's kits in my 1976 F350; I'm replacing my OEM system. My question concerns removing the protective caps on the dryer to trial fit/align my new "hoses". Will "opening" the dryer for a few minutes do any harm to it? This is a great forum, and I will appreciate any info that might be provided. Thanks in advance.

No, just do leave them off for an extended period of time. By sure to pull a proper vacuum before charging.

Thanks for the quick reply, and "Roger" on pulling the vacuum.
