Hello, new to the forum. I had a local shop convert my car to r134,good shop known forever. The tech was not happy with his results, the lowest temp at the vents was 55 deg at 80 deg tops ambient. I replaced the drier and orifice tube myself along with new green O-rings.He vacd the system for a hour and then filled the system to the correct percent of the old r12.He said pressures were good and compressor seemed to cycle fine.I took for a drive that night and it was barley cool at all fan settings. He looked that night at home on his own time for info on these cars and didnt find anything really different from other retros hes done.I dont know if it was flushed but was leak tested first. The original system components seem in good shape other wise.If it was a system part that was bad in what order might it be???He did try a blu ford orifice tube I gave him, smaller and it went up 5 degrees!Any help greatly appreciated.Hes going to look at it again on Monday. I read a lot of helpful post but not quite my problem. Thanks guys Allan

Try clamping off the heater hoses to rule out no heat being mixed in the ductwork.

Give the pressure readings and ambient taken at would help too.

Just another brick in the wall

Had a little mule I fed him castor oil and every time he jumped the fence he fertilized the soil
