Replacing Entire System- PAG or POE?

Corey on Wed July 30, 2008 8:47 AM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 1996
Make: Jeep
Model: Grand Cherokee
Engine Size: 5.2L
Refrigerant Type: 134a

Compressor siezed and evap was leaking, so instead of gambling on a condenser flush, I've decided to just bite the bullet and replace everything.

PAG 46 is specified.
With no oil compatibility issues, should I go with the new DEC PAG, or is there a better choice?

Thanks,

-Corey

Ahem to the 'old' part...esp for TRB....not sure about 'Chick'...but from your responses.....I gather that you can remember when 'freon' was $.25/can...and the cans were truly a pound (16oz).

Oh yeah, I can remember that..I have a brother (owns his own business) in home AC who used to fill my 30-pounders "at the curb" from his big tanks, and he even used it to fill his tire with it once or twice..Yes, those days are gone..Dam, I'll be 63 next week,,, Am I having fun yet????? ..
