Pulley seems slightly misaligned, is it normal?

U-96 on Tue July 29, 2008 11:11 AM User is offline

Year: 1995
Make: VW
Model: Golf Mk 3
Engine Size: 2.0L
Refrigerant Type: R134a

I just noticed that the pulley on my recently installed brand new compressor seems misaligned and there is a small but noticeable play when it is spinning. Should I be worrying about this? Other than this misalignment the A/C runs just fine - no weird noises, decent cooling.
Thanks!

All depends on how out of alignment it is. Posting an image may help give us an idea what you are up against. But for the most part the hub and pulley should be set at an even level across the two faces.

I doubt it will be detectable on the static image. With the engine running the outer edge of the pulley has a swing of ~2-3 mm.
