hi evbody, its been while.

i bought this tacoma last year. 2nd week smb hit me on front. my job duties finally allow me to rebuild it.
i have new condenser, drier, o-ring. pag 46

last year when i took the damaged condenser out, i closed the lines with tape only, (yes i know stupid of me)
i have these questions please:

- oil cpacity is 7 oz right?half in comp and half in drier?
- do i reallly need to replace the old oil in comp and if yes how i get the new oil inside? does the comp have drain plug or via the upper acess.
-toyota repair was very vague regarding charging system. do i have to bypass pressure switch after evacuating & charging?

i humbly appreaciate any advise.

Take the compressor off and turn it to where the ports are facing downward. Spin the compressor by hand until the oil stops coming out. Pour in a couple oz of new oil and with the port facing upward cycle it by hand about 7-8 revolutions. Pour out the oil again while cycling it by hand. Pour in new oil and thats it. You've flushed the new compressor with new oil.

Oil cap total is 8 oz(7.6).4.8 of that goes in the compressor
