Which direction does the orifice tube go?

I think i put this little booger in backwards. Does the smaller end (more pointed) point into the evap? Ha, please say no so I won't have to keep troubleshooting lol

The short end points toward the evaporator.

Would a backwards ot make the system not work correctly, i.e., low side pressure not move while compressor is running?

I bought a condenser with it installed backwards once. Not a happy camper. Worked but very bad performance.
