Year: 1998
Make: ford
Model: windstar
Engine Size: V6
Refrigerant Type: r134a

Hello:

I am planning to replace my van's ac compressor and drier. After that I will buy Vacuum Pump and gauage to vacuum the whole AC and recharge r134a.

I look this website trust vender and found there are many Vacuum Pump listed.

The main different are CFM and Dual/Single Stage.

Inorder to vacuum my windstar van,

1: how many CFM the pump need? 1.5, 2,3 ,5,7.5?
2: Dual VS Single Stage. Which is better?

Any way, I do not want pay much but need good enough to work on my van.

Thank for any input.

I suggest the economy 3 or 5 CFM pumps. I prefer a dual stage pump but it is not necessary for an average DIY individual.
