Low HP Compressors?

Does anyone have any insight as to the HP needed to turn various compressors? Does easy to turn mean low capacity or are there different technologies that effect the resistance and output?

The faster a compressor turns, the more HP it will use. The higher the head pressure it is pumping against, the more HP it will use. The higher the displacement of the compressor, the more HP it will use.
