i am replacing my compressor ( new ) , condenser , dryer . orifice tube , evaporator, and liquid line assembly.

my system call for 8 ounces of oil.

how much do i put in the compressor and where do i put the rest, before having someone evacuate the system ?

put about three ounces in the compressor, the rest in the accumulator, once the system starts it will be thru the system in no time, but you want the compressor well lubed when it's charging...Hope this helps..
