95 dodge dakota vent temp

DAWS60 on Wed June 25, 2008 12:13 PM User is offline

Year: 1995
Make: dodge
Model: dakota
Engine Size: v6 magnu
Refrigerant Type: r134a
Ambient Temp: 85
Pressure Low: 27
Pressure High: 210
Country of Origin: United States

Friend has 95 dakota that was low on freon. Topped it off. Above readings were taken at
1500 rpm max air rec. mode windows down. Vent temp driving down the road would not
get below 50 deg. hi pressure hose from condensor to evap. has heavy frost the full length
of the tube (should it?). What might cause the vent temp not cooling well? Pressure
seems good. Thanks Jerry.

Sounds like not enough refrigerant.

Pressures seem to be a little low at that ambient.

Just another brick in the wall

Had a little mule I fed him castor oil and every time he jumped the fence he fertilized the soil

I added more freon seems to be cooling better. Thanks for the info.
