vent temp

Ambient Temp: 90

Could someone advise what avg vent temp schould be? at 90 deg blowing 65 now. Just had compp replaced. thanx Joe

20 to 30 'F below ambient is usually considered acceptable.

Is that 65 at idle or on the highway?

I don't think that Tim's shop would have very many happy customers with 80F vent temperatures in Phoenix....

Steve, I would agree. I think 8 to 10'F above whatever saturation temperature (from suction pressure) the evaporator is running at is probably about as good as you will get it on the average vehicle.
