Hecat Professional Flush Equipment

TRB on Fri June 20, 2008 10:32 AM User is offlineView users profile

I hear the cost of the Pulsator may be going up in a month or so do to increased material cost. I get letters every day from vendors increasing costs do to the economy and materials. This is just a heads up for anyone kicking around the idea of getting the best DIY flush system on the market before the price increase comes into effect.

We are seeing some ridiculous price increases on our raw materials. Metals have been increasing over the last few years, but since the first of this year copper/brass has jumped 49% and some of our suppliers who use a lot of raw steel are claiming their costs have more than doubled since the first of this year. I guess the devalued dollar is going to hit us everywhere, not just at the pumps.

Current completed inventory here and at AMA will remain at current pricing. Any price increase we need to implement will only be related to the product produced that we have incurred material cost increases on.
I have always absorbed such mid year increases and applied them to annual adjustments, this is the first time I have ever had to consider mid year pricing corrections.

Needless to say I am not happy about this situation. As a small U.S. manufacturer serving a small niche market; offshore manufacturing is not (and will not be) an option.

Thanks to AMA and everyone else for your support.

Just a note on the raw material part of this thread, the prices for scrap cars has been going up all year, and is now over $3.00 a hundred pounds. Thats not "clean" scrap either... So that is certainly affecting anything made now.. It's never been that high in all the years I can remember...

The edit on your post Chick was just me making it a sticky so this stays at the top for a few days. I noticed Doug picked up a Pulsator and Coolant flusher. Thanks for the support!

No problem Tim. I've been kicking this purchase around for a while; figured I'd spend my stimulus check for something that will make me more $$$. Plan to use it in the HVAC field to flush refrigerant lines (copper) for the use of R410a systems with the existing R22 copper lines. I was thinking that Karl could ship from Atlanta to reduce shipping time and possibly the shipping expense. Do you think that would be a problem?

Be safe

No issue with the drop ship. I'll have to get with Karl on the freight and see how it works out.
