Ford Taurus AC Question

matthew34 on Tue June 17, 2008 3:10 PM User is offline

Year: 2000
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus
Engine Size: 3.00 V6

Looks like the cycling switch on my accumulator is faulty. Can I replace the switch or do I have to buy a whole new accumulator?

Thanks

Those two parts are always sold separately, so just buy a switch. It should have a valve under it so you can unscrew the switch and replace it with the system still charged. Check for leaks around the new switch when you're done.
