R134A for a 1966 Mustang

Year: 1966
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Engine Size: 289
Refrigerant Type: R12
Ambient Temp: 100
Pressure Low: 0
Pressure High: 0
Country of Origin: United States

The 1966 mustang I recently acquired has a factory a/c system that is empty because it blew a hose according to the previous owner. He stated it worked good until it blew the hose. The system had R12 in it. I was looking at the car and the condenser looks kind of small to use R134A. Anyone tried R134A in one of these cars?

Ya. I never had any luck with R134A in one out here. The cooling systen, fan etc are marginal in those cars.
