how much pressure can I put on my system?

Year: 1996
Make: Ford
Model: F350
Engine Size: 7.3
Refrigerant Type: 134
Country of Origin: United States

I am trying to find a leak with the system evacuated. I am pressuring up from the low side connection. What is the highest pressure I should use? I tried 20-30 but I still cannot find the leak.

Much over 150 psi you risk blowing something. It doesn't matter which side you put the gas into. When you use inert gas with the compressor not running, the same pressure appears everywhere.

Dodge truck evaporators will blow up @ 300psi

I usually test em @ 175-200 max now.
