AC stops while driving

jimmycox on Sat May 31, 2008 11:29 AM User is offline

Year: 2000
Make: Chevy
Model: Z 71

I have a 2000 Z71 and the compressor stops working while going down the road. Rev the engine and it may or may not reengage. Leave it off for a bit and it will start working again. I have had the recycling switch replace and refrigerant checked. I'm at a loss and starting to think its the clutch.

How do I adjust the clutch?

Jimmy

Depends on which compressor you have, not sure what truck you have either as Z71 is a trim option? Is it a C/K body, S series, etc... I answered your post in the other thread also..Hope this helps..

PS: Not sure which engines are available, but that may make a difference in the compresor your truck uses..Post that, with the type truck and we can double check for you..
