should i flush the system

i have two hondas, 1 civic, 1 accord, and a toyota truck. i am trying to justify buying the advanced kit from AMA. anyway, all three systems cool great, but have high mileage. i wanted to drain and fill the oil in the system. do i need to just drain the compressor, and measure the oil drained from the compressor, and replace with new oil, and also replace the dryer and add an ounce of oil to it as well. put i back together, pull a vacuum for an hour then refill.
is this a pipe dream, or do i tear it a part, replace the expansion valve, clean the evaporator, and condenser, put back together and fill.

feel free to bash me for all the newbie questions.

thanks, robert.

Don't mess with them if they are working good. If you see signs of oil on any of the components lets talk.
