Grand Voyager Compressor

jasonldrummer on Mon May 26, 2008 12:44 AM User is offline

Year: 1997
Make: Plymouth
Model: Grand Voyager
Engine Size: 3.3 V6
Country of Origin: United States

My mechanic says that the seals on the compressor is leaking. I want to try to do it myself. I would like to know if there are diagrams or instructions on how to do this? Any kind of help would be great! Thanks!

If it were a GM compressor I would say no problem, but the fact that special tools are needed (in any case) I would give the guys at Ackits.com a call and ask them about their BRAND NEW 10PA17J compressors. I just did one in my daughters van with the 3.3 , and got a "knock off" compressor brand new from them, "with clutch". It's an easy compressor to change, and I was really impressed how well it worked out. "Some" are cheaper than remans.. If you want to try changing seals, there are compressor diagrams on the Tips and FAQ pag, but you will need special tools as I said, and that would probably cost more than the compressor. You can e-mail the guys at ackits.com for prices and availability..My opinion, it's the way to go when you figure the cost, labor etc..
