damper door

Year: 1989
Make: Lincoln
Model: Town Car
Engine Size: 302
Country of Origin: United States

I have a '89 Lincoln Town Car. No matter what I do to the comfort/temp selector, hot air comes out of all vents. Little or no vaccum is felt going to the vaccum motors under the dash. The vaccum motors seem to be ok when I put slight pressure on them with my Mity-vac. I'm thinking it's the damper door switch, in the comfort/temp selector. Does anybody know if it can be tested with ohm/multi-meter. Thanks in advance.

Check under the hood for a broken vacuum line. Those cars used both rubber and plastic lines. The plastic lines get brittle and break, usually where you can see them....
