Refrigerant Type: R-404A
I mostly do work related to commercial refrigeration, but from time to time IÃÂ´m asked to service other type of systems. IÃÂ´m guessing that this small truck refrigeration system running on R-404A is somewhat related to standard domestic automotive air conditioning, so maybe some of you might be able to help me out. This is my question: according to an automotive air conditioning manual I borrowed, the new oil charge must be distributed among the compressor, evaporator, condenser and filter drier. Does this principle hold for truck refrigeration units too? Also, I could not find much information on how to account, regarding the total oil charge, for the lenght of the suction and discharge line hoses which in my case are quite long. IÃÂ´ll appreciate any comments. Thank you.
