Just want to say a public "Thanks" for repairing the suction/discharge manifold for my 1967 Impala SS. Was fearing having to go "junkyarding" for a replacement. Parts installed, currently under vacuum. If holds, will charge in morning. Using R12.

Had 26" vacuum this afternoon after work. Just because I was curious, restarted the vacuum pump, but left the gauge manifold valves shut. The vacuum SLOWLY pulled back to 29". Must have a leak past the manifold valves. Time for a rebuild. Anyho, charged 5 cans of R12, 60 ounces. 44F at idle, 38-40F cruising. Works for me ! And yes, I added some oil.

Good to hear! I just got in from a short mountain bike ride after work. It sure is starting to get warm around here.
