A6 compressor o-rings or sealing washers ? (pics)

y2k600f4 on Thu April 17, 2008 9:44 PM User is offline

Ordered the CP3011 o-ring kit and the CP3016 GM sealing washer assortment to replace all the system's o-rings and sealing washers. I just removed the compressor to flush and refill with oil. According to the GM A6 exploded view (see first pic; item #2 and #3) view it "looks" like I just need the proper o-rings ?? Currently there seems to be a black hard rubber washer (do they get removed and replaced with o-rings ?????) that is flush with the mounting surface (see second pic). Also I am guessing I need an o-ring (#22) for the sump drain plug (was none) shown in the last pic. Thanks.

Orings in the rear ports, those black ones in the picture are just old flat orings.

The oil drain uses a crush washer (copper I believe). Not sure about where to get that.

Put a little Nylog on the bolt and you will be fine. Should be some thinker # 12 o-rings in that kit. Those go in the back of the compressor. Nylog on those also.

Thanks yet again guys !! I suspect I only needed the washer kit for an R6 compressor ? Oh well, good to have in stock for future projects. I was guessing the bolt was self sealing but was not sure since the exploded diagram says "neoprene oil tube o-ring"; I'll just skip that one as per your advice !! Thanks and off to the compressor install.

Number 2 & 3 are you o-rings. If the hoses do not sit flat against the new o-rings then you need sealing washers. I'm thinking some of the newer A6's use the sealing washer kit.
