Low pressure switch

rdhack on Mon April 14, 2008 11:29 AM User is offline

Year: 1991
Make: Chevy
Model: S-10 blazer
Engine Size: 4.3L
Refrigerant Type: r134A
Ambient Temp: 70
Country of Origin: United States

After retrofitting my system and installation of a new low pressure cycling switch in the accumulator, it is kicking on at 45psi and off at 25psi. Is this about right or should I adjust? During the one hot day (80Degrees) since installation it did not cycle and stayed at about 35psi and evap temp was around 4degrees.

Thanks

the hotter it is, the less cycling you'll have. (more heat and moisture to remove from the air coming in) Sounds about right for the switch too..Hope this helps...
