97 Grand Cherokee,

Refrigerant- 1.75 lbs.

Oil Viscosity- ND8 PAG, OR equivalent.

Total system oil capacity- 7.75 Ounces

Compressor clutch air gap ,Inch- .014 - .026

As long as there were no major leakage and countless topping off the refrigerant charge, without adding oil, I would add 2 ounces of oil, pull a deep vacuum, confirm that it does not leak, and recharge.

Chick,

I must be the slowest typer on this forum.

Checked to see if you were online before I answered this post and you were not and you still beat me by 5 minutes.

I think you have those penguins trained to type for you. Do they dress you and fix your meals for you too.
