TAMA/SELTEC A/C compressor

oldtrainster on Wed March 19, 2008 2:40 PM User is offline

Is there a difference between the TM-15HD and TM-16HD compressor and how do I contact you the company for product info?

And I'm going to put the old one back in until I can find the right replacement, which I'm not having a whole lot of luck with? So I've totally cleaned out the compressor and nothing else. How much oil do I put into the compressor?

Depends on the model but basically just a slight difference in capacity.

When considering your next auto A/C purchase, please consider the site that supports you:

Tim was refering to this thread:

Tama Compressor

I just noticed that Seltec's website is down. Is there something going on with them, or just an IT issue?

The TM16HD is a fairly common compressor. A quick web search will show several cheap chinese clones, along with some dimensions. The 15/16 designation is the pump capacity 150 cc's vs 160 cc's You probably have a 4 ear mounting style on that motorhome, with the bolts going through the mounting ears in the same axis as the compressor shaft. Very similar to a Sanden SD508.

There are a few choices regarding the fittings, but all styles are available.
