hi all, Im leaking freon on the low side service port on my 92 dodge stealth, I can actualy see it leaking out when the compressor is turned on, anyone know where I can get a replacement valve? its a R-12 system.

Any parts store will have them, but the problem is going to be finding someone who can change it without discharging the system, and topping it off with R12..Otherwise, you can have the refrigerant recovered and retrofit to R134a using "quality" R134a service ports which use their own shrader valves.. If at all possible, keep it R12 though.. They do have the tools for changing the core under pressure which will save what charge you have left..Hope this helps..

Since you have enough R12 to keep it running, have it recycled and reused with a top off, or actually serviced to full capacity with a discount for your recovered gas, some shops only use virgin gas but will credit you for yours, they have to.

Give all the dirty details
and dont forget the LO & HI pressures
Year, Make & Model would be nice too
